- Wedding: March 2013
Well, I figure it was only appropriate for me to come post my DIY wedding invitations here, especially since a lot of my inspiration came from fellow bees, while I was still a lurker looking around here for something to love.
The following are approximate prices of the supplies I used to create my invites:
The template for the invitations was purchased off of an etsy seller for $40
I used Limba White Embossed Wood Grain Paper: $35 for a pack of 100
Bought 100 grey Rectangelo pocket folds from cardsandpockets.com for $0.69 a piece=$69
Euro flap envelopes = $25
RSVP Envelopes = $16
Custom stripe paper for hand-made envelope liners: $30 for 50 sheets
Baker’s twine= about $5 for a single roll
I used Zots and Glue Runners for adhesive but don’t remember how much those were. I also printed everything on my Kodak printer, which amounted to less than my entire cartrige, which would only cost about $10 to replace. I cut down each attachement with my paper cutter (and dulled the blade, lol). Postage and return postage came out to about $110; so total, my invitations came out to about $3.60 per invitation, or $330ish, total. I have to say, I’m pretty proud of the finished product and have gotten nothing but really nice compliments from friends and family so far. It’s doesn’t hurt that I saved some money on the endeavor, either.
So there you have it 🙂 It was totally worth the week worth of work, haha.
