We are putting the last of the addresses on to our invitations finally and sending them out by the end of the week. I can’t wait to not cut another piece of paper, ever! π

I took the basic design for the actual invite from a website and then changed it up in Photoshop to make it my own. I then created the RSVP, Directions and Accomodations cards from scratch, just using the same typefaces and themes from the original. Part of what took so long was getting everything lined up correctly and adding lines to cut the paper. Also, we created a weddingwire website for RSVP’s and let me tell you, that took forever!
We thought the wedding website for RSVP was best – people can’t add anyone because they feel entitled to (we have a lot of family/family friends that feel that their whole extended family should come also but that’s not the case for us). Also, I know myself – and I know I would probably end up losing some of the RSVPs amongst the piles of wedding stuff and DIY crafts all over the house. Oh, and it helps that we saved money by not doing paper RSVPs π
Oh – I didn’t include the outer envelope, which is just a plain ivory/cream colored envelope. No fancy embellishments there π One DIY down, many to go!

Looks amazing! Really inspiring.. we are considering making ours cause Fiance is a graphic designer… (however I’d be the one cutting and gluing!)
Did you buy pre-made pocket folds for the outer part? Or did you make those yourself?

also.. did you use a handheld corner rounder and punch one corner at a time? Or did you get them rounded another way?

@waitingwonderland: Yay, thanks! I know some bees around here have done really amazing work, but I really LOVE what we came up with. I ordered the pocketfolds online, as well as the outer envelopes. Finding pocketfolds that weren’t shiny was harder than I thought, but it was doable π
As far as rounding the edges – we did that manually, one corner at a time. We watched a LOT of Supernatural, and that was my FI’s job, mostly π
I don’t know if you can see it, but we bought packets of vellum from Hobby Lobby and cut those individually too (instead of spending a fortune on ordering pre-cut ones) and rounded those edges as well.

Great job! I’m really drawn to your directions card. Good luck on the rest of the DIYs!
