This project has taken me a few months as I’ve been making a few flowers here or there while watching TV. I feel delighted about how these turned out and wanted to share!
Bouquets + Flowers:
I actually have about 50+ more now, but this was an early photo. My bridal party and myself each have a paper flower bouquet – and I’m also including 3 stems in a vase at each reception table.
Your favorite book (displayed here is HP Book 7)
Floral Wire – I bought straight stems from Michaels and cut them to size
Hot Glue Gun
Burlap “Paper” (I found it in the paper section)
Needle + Thread to gather the lace embellishment
Food coloring to dye the lace in your preferred colors
For the flowers themselves, I used this Pinterest image as a guide
What do you think?

@Jazzle: I LOVE them 🙂 I’ve been giving serious thought to ribbon flowers like these:
So it’s encouraging to see a “real” person can pull off a DIY as well as you have 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

@xcarley: I’ve been thinking that after the wedding and the honeymoon I may set up an etsy store and sell this bad boys – it’s encouraging to hear you say as much!
@badabing88: Love the ribbon flowers – do it! You’ll have fun making each individual one. My first few flowers didn’t look so great, but once you get the technique down they get better and better. It’s true – anyone can do this!
