The Fiance and I had so much fun making these, I wanted to share.
We both love the 60s and I had an epiphany for the save-the-dates, I admit, about a month before we were actually engaged. But, anyway, being hugely into Grateful Dead he wasn’t hard to convince even if I didn’t have a ring yet.
We based them on some actual concert posters from the 60s. It was a double sided postcard with this on one side: (You’ll have to excuse the fact that I deleted some key information for privacy’s sake):
And this on the other:
And then we put them all in these fab translucent turquoise envelopes with the magenta stamp for just a pop of color.
Fiance is an artist and did the hand-lettering of the text, we both played around in Photoshop to get the coloring exactly correct. It was a really fun team effort.
The best part is that the whole thing, including stamps, cost me around $80 (I sent out about 80 STDs).
