I have considered so many different save the date ideas since I’ve gotten engaged. I knew I wanted them to be DIY, but I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do. Two years later and I had to make a decision! Right after New Year’s Jo Ann Fabrics had a big sale on scrapbook paper so I bought a ton of it and had this idea to hand make these elaborate save the dates that looked like two rings joined with our picture with our information on the back:
I made one and took the rest of the paper back haha. I decided I didn’t want to spend that much time on them.
I looked at Walgreens.com to see if I could just print out a photo card and was disappointed with their selection. Not to mention how expensive they were ( I mean 16.99 for 20 cards is a lot when they only want .19 for a 4×6 picture).
I created a design on Microsoft Word and my computer whizz future hubby figured out how to save it as a picture file. I uploaded it to Walgreens.com and printed out 100 4×6 photos (on sale for $12!) I thought they turned out pretty good. Easy, cheap, and cute! I got rubber stamps from Jo Ann Fabrics and Michael’s and dressed up the envelopes. I am so happy with how they turned out and wanted to share:
