I bought some super comfty ballroom shoes for my reception shoes that I love love love! However, they needed a little something. I started looking at shoe clips online and they’re so expensive! Time for another DIY project.
At first I was thinking bows, so I ordered some hot pink ribbon on line but when when it arrived it was so much darker than the picture and it just wasn’t vibing with me. So I started thinking maybe I didn’t want bows after all. Maybe I wanted flowers…
So I started keeping my eyes open for the perfect flower.
When I saw these pretty sparkly ones on clearnace at Michael’s, I knew they were the ones!
I took them apart and started looking through my bead box for the perfect center. I went for a dark pink bead… but once again.. i just didn’t like how it looked!
In the end, i thought it looked best with just three small simple beads. Anytime I added more crystals, i surprisingly didn’t like it.
So this is my final choice:
Do they look ok?
I think the white flowes will pop even more with my dress.
I’ve got more of those pretty flowers, so I think I’ll have to make a matching headband or something!~
I just LOVE making things.

Those are very cute and creative! how do you plan on making the clip part? or are you permanently attaching them?

@MrsVandykins: I LOVE your dress. Is it a Maggie?

@kansas_nurse: Thanks so much! I bought some metal shoe clip thingies and sewed them onto a peice of felt for a base and then hot glued the flower onto the felt. I didn’t want to permanently attach in case i change my mind in the neck few months ~_~

@MissFireFlower: Awee! Thanks!! It’s based on the Maggie Isadora Ann, but it’s actually made by Dressilyme because there’s no way in hell I could afford a real Maggie ~_~

If you put these on Etsy, I’d so buy some!

I love, love, love the shoes and the clips! I never thought about looking at ballroom shoes for wedding shoes – hope you don’t mind if I steal your idea!

@thatredheadedbride: Not at all! I got the idea from a post on this site. I’m all about comfort! I can’t even count how many threads where brides talk about how much their feet hurt by the end of the night so I’m hoping these ones do the trick!
