Just thought I would share this with you all. After seeing how much it cost to ship something similar to Canada, I decided that I could do it myself and it would cost 1/3 of what I would have to pay to get it done. Here is the finished product. It probably took me 6-8 hours over the last 3 nights to complete this.

Looks great! Oriental Trading Co offers white parasols for those who want cheap bulk parasols for painting/decorating (I think it comes out to about $3 something each, but they come in lots of 12). They also have a set of white fans for about 60 cents per fan (also marketed towards those who want to decorate them, but we’ll just use them white).
