Just wanted to check in and see what other DIYers are planning on attempting and maybe sharing ideas.
I’ll be making: fabric-covered guestbook and matching ring pillow (might cover a card box too), place cards, fabric pennants on a string thingie, and I may attempt crepe paper roses.

Cardbox that I hope comes out as awesome as what’s in my brain
aisle runner (making one from curtain fabric)
personalized votive holders
I should probably… start.

Placecards, table numbers, out of town bags, bathroom baskets, ceremony programs and I think that’s it. My wedding’s in less than 2 months though and I’ve only *started* on a couple things. Although I can’t really do a lot of the stuff until all the rsvps come back. Eee hurry up people!!!

@MrsLongcoatPeacoat: We used Vistaprint for our Save-The-Date Cards and embellished them a la Miss Duckling’s interpretation of Martha Stewart. They are our first DIY and the bill is already over $215. Eek! But that does include $50 for a Cuttlebug and $50 for STD photography. Good thing out wedding is 14 months away because we need to spread these out a bit!
My DIY list –
- Save-The-Date Cards, escort cards, table numbers, menus, etc.
- Just Married banner w/cans
- All bouquets
- All centerpieces – combo lampshades, low paint cans/peonies, wood beam runner
- Departure flags
- Ring bearer pillows
- Flower girls paint cans
- Card box that is really not a card box hopefully
- Cutout petal aisle runner
- Pomanders for aisle decoration
- Bridal shower thank you notes
I will prob come up with more as time goes by. DIY is nice and can save money on some things like flowers but whew these paper projects are just eating up the mulah!
