I decided to make my own wedding invitations using my silhouette cameo, cuttlebug and my printer.
I bought the pocket folders so I wouldn’t have to deal with that.
I bought some white ribbon, rhinestone buckles, glue, and a martha stewart craft punch.
I’ve used my silhouette cameo and cuddlebug for other projects, like my bridal shower invitations, favors, signs, I love it!
This is the final product.

saralovesrob: Oh darn… now I want a cuttlebug.
Your invitations are gorgeous – so pretty! And I totally get the love for making all those things yourself, I made all the stationary for our wedding and that’s the only part of wedding planning that I still miss!

eocenia: Aw thank you! I was nervous at first but it was a lot of fun, my fiance and my mom helped me. And yes, the cuttlebug makes really pretty embossing, I have even made my own embossing folders with our initials using the silhouette cameo to cut the letters:

saralovesrob: Oh that’s so neat! I had never heard about a cuttlebug until now, but I might have to put it on my wish list for my birthday. 🙂
And I was nervous before making our invitations too, it’s a little scary if you’ve never done something like that before. However, looking back at it I’m so happy I did – it just made it so personal, I got the exact look I wanted and I also got so many nice compliments. I’m sure your friends and family will be hugely impressed with your invitations!
