So my Day of Coordinator got a new job and won’t be working with us anymore. He passed us off to another person so we’re not completely screwed, but still…
I HATE change and I really don’t like when people mess with my plans.

That’s annoying! Here are some tips – get all your emails from your previous coordinator together… after they’ve handed your file over to the new person – schedule a meeting.
Go over everything the previous person would have mentioned – cover everything. It’s WAY better to tell them stuff they already know than miss something.
I know how frustrating it is, but our industry has massive turnover, so it’s pretty common.
Even though I contacted a couple 5 months ago for their wedding this weekend when I first got here and went over EVERYTHING…. they were rather annoyed at me trying to cover all my bases for them.. and naturally just yesterday asked for something that isn’t possible at this point because they ‘assumed’ I would know they wanted it.
So definitely feel free to over tell everything to the new person.

When my new DOC meet, I do plan on bringing my “rider” with me–that my previous DOC and I wrote up. It’s just tough to get add a whole new person to this equation. I talked to him today though. He seems like a good guy. It should be fine *fingers crossed*
