Okay, so I dyed my crinoline pink but somehow there were NO pics of this on the wedding day, and I was sad. But it’s okay, because we are going to do a post-wedding photo shoot to make up for the 3 rolls of film that were blank, and I figured I could get some pink petticoat shots then.
Well I had my petticoat in a dumb place. The dress is all nicely bagged and safe but the petticoat was on top of several empty suitcases that have yet to be put away since we got back, and my dog apparently chewed a HOLE in the damn petticoat!!!
Arrrrgh! I am so sad. I was also hoping to sell it so that’s out also.
I do have a second one, dyed blue. I bought two and hoped to wear both then discovered that the two together made the skirt too short so i only wore the pink one. So I do have one to wear for the next photo thing, but I really liked the pink one best!
The crazy thing is, he is a four year old dog, never chews anything up and hasn’t since he was a puppy so I don’t know WHY this and WHY now!? :::sigh:::

Hmmmm maybe the dye tastes good to him?
Sounds weird I know but my cat licks photos (which we find really weird), which is also dye.
That sucks! How big is the hole – is it apparent when you are wearing it under the dress?

Hmm…usually pets eat the veil.
Same question–would the hole even show in your pictures? Or can the photographer shoot so it doesn’t show?

Guh! Bad dog bad dog bad DOG! lol
I think you should do a little sewing to prevent the whole from getting bigger and just arranged it so you can’t see it in pictures! Photos don’t show a 360 view of someone so can you make it so you can adjust the crinoline before your pics? Like…. spin it?
Tell the photographer that you are trying to avoid it so he/she can keep an eye out for it when shooting and then tell you to adjust as needed.
Do you have pics of the damage?

Bummer!!! I think there is a trend with pets eating wedding attire lately… 🙁
I second the PP’s… is the hole huge and visible with your dress on? Would it be possible to patch it somehow? I hope it works out — it’s nice you have a back up, though!
