Brickette:  My heart absolutely BREAKS for you! I can imagine that Clyde was loved SO MUCH and I know you two will continue to love him even though he’s not next to you. My prayers to you & your family, and that St. Francis guides your pup. xoxo

Brickette:  I’ve been thinking of you guys and your baby Clyde ๐Ÿ™ I told my Fiance and sister your story.  We have a doggy too.   It just breaks my heart.  Still sending positive thoughts your way!

As a new member I have read so many posts but reading your post I balled my heart out. I lost a cat after 15 years due to misdiagnosis. Id woken up one day to him screaming and unable to move one leg. Took him to the vet who removed his leg, advising he had probably damaged it in a fall while jumping, ripping tendons. He lasted just under a month with 3 legs before I woke up to him again and I was told he had a blood clot in the spine, had lost all feeling in his neck down and needed to be put to sleep. Id been playing with him the night before and he was fine. I feel so much sympathy for you. I feel the immense pain of loosing my furbaby every day. I got a carved and painted urn for him which sits next to my tv that I talk to regularly. I hope you have some lovely memories and have all the support you need to help you grieve for Clyde. I think about my beautiful furbaby everyday and I dont think I will ever forget how important he was in my life.

Goodluck and I hope when you feel ready a new puppy will help you to give love to another wonderful furbaby that will become part of your family.

Brickette:  I just started bawling reading your post because I know the feeling all too well, I’m so very sorry for your loss.

I lost my baby just over 3 months ago. She was 16, I had her since she was 8 weeks. I know how it feels, like a part of your life is gone. I still cry at the drop of a hat, but I find what helps the most is I sleep with one of her favourite toys.

Just know your baby had a wonderful mom and dad and you guys provided him with a great life.

I am so sorry!  I csame across your post while looking for information on loss of a beloved dog, and I want you to know that I understand.  Although every relationship with our so loved dogs is different for each of us, we still have that understanding of how important it is to us and to our dear dogs.  I lost my beloved Brittany Spaniel just one month ago, and am devastated beyond words.  She was with me always, even going to work with me, and life without her is nothing short of completely sad and full of heartache and grief.  I know without a doubt that this is the worst heartache ever in my life, and I feel quite certain that will be the case always.  So many emotions and the emptiness is indescribable.  She was so much more than just a dog to me, and although I knew she would live a shorter life than a human, her ten years were not enough.  A longer life would have left me with the same grief, but I would have understood that that is the dog’s life span. We wish you healing and peace in the days ahead!!
