Hi bees. Looking for some support today. Just got home to find out my mother put my first dog (ever) asleep today. Apparently she couldn’t walk today, and has just been progressing badly. We found out last week she had a massive tumor in her spleen, so knew it was going to be soon, but I had no idea it’d be less than a week.
I’m just sitting here regretting not spending more time loving her. I miss her.
A tribute to the little gal (Oreo)

I am so sorry for your loss. I’ve gone through this too many times. Just remember the times you did spend with her. I know nothing anyone can say is really comforting after having a pet put to sleep (especially in the first few days) but I truly am sorry.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dog. I teared up looking at the pictures because I can imagine your pain as we had to put our family dog down last year. I know nothing will make it easier but just remembering the wonderful times with Oreo. Hugs and love to you and your family in this difficult time.

Aww sweetie I am so, so sorry for your loss. I will be in STL next weekend for Thanksgiving, so if you want to get coffee and cry to a perfect stranger, I will be glad to listen. I am such an animal lover my heart breaks for you.

Oh, I am so sorry. It’s so painful. Over time, it does hurt less, but you do always remember & you will always feel her with you.
Take care of yourself & know that there are lots of us who understand the grief of losing one of our precious furbabies.

I’m so sorry.. I know the feeling. I had to put my Richard to sleep 3 years ago new years eve. It was a heartache I never felt before; hang in there. I know my Richard knew he was loved, and from the pictures that you shared.. your Oreo knew she was loved too. Don’t worry.. you’ll see her too one day, just as I will see my Richard. If it makes you feel better, look up the “Rainbow Bridge” poem about the beautiful relationship between humans & their pets…
