Soooo ladies, this is it!! I totally freaked out when I first purchased the dress. But once it came in (and in a better fit) I remembered why I picked it out to begin with. It needs to be fitted, and I think it would look better with an extra layer or 2 of crinoline at the bottom, to make it pop…what do you think? I’ve also attached a pic with my mother’s 30 year old veil!!! It matches perfectly! I just have to find a comb to attach it to……

The dress by itself is gorgeous and you look stunning in it. Excellent pick!!! With the veil you look AMAZING!!! Your Fiance will love it and you will be such a beautiful bride. I guess like mother like daughter because your Mom has excellent taste! 😉

Beautiful and a perfect match to the veil 🙂
You can get metal combs at Joanns for about $6.00. If you use a coupon though, you can get 40% to 50% off. I made my mantilla veil and I found that the metal combs work best.

my Fiance just said, “Damn! now THAT is a veil!” It is so impressive! It’s nice that you get to incorporate something from your mom in it, and it fits your dress so well. Gorgeous!

Thanks so much ladies! You’re so wonderful!!
I’m so thrilled that I am able to use something with so much meaning. Not only did my mom wear it, my aunt wore it in HER wedding as well…I think it would be neat to find pictures of each of the ladies wearing it and post them at the reception, as a nod to the history!
Thanks for the tip on the combs @noritake , I’ve been looking everywhere and had not been able to find one!!!
Do you ladies think I should add some extra crinoline layers at the bottom of the dress to make it more “mermaid” style? I will be going in for alterations in the next week or so, and I need to make up my mind!

Wow, the dress is gorgeous, but add the veil and the whole thing becomes mindblowing!
