jennifer.marie.37266:  For what it’s worth, I think it’s gorgeous and looks amazing on you!!  Before seeing the pictures and after reading your description, I thought it would be awful.  You look great!!

I think it looks good on you! I would take to tailor to see their thoughts, if they can make the extra fabric lay on you better, etc. Maybe that work will make you like it better?

For what it’s worth, the pictures don’t even make the dress appear to be champagne — it looks white.  I think the dress is very flattering to your figure.

jennifer.marie.37266:I think it looks great on you! Really shows off your figure. I have a very similar dress, it’s a Lis Simon. I didn’t like the belt that came with mine either, so i got a different one for only about $150. Maybe if you tried a different belt with it you might like it more.

jennifer.marie.37266:  I just had a similar experience trying on my dress for the first time when it came in.  I look at the photos and compare to when I tried it on and it doesn’t even feel like the same dress.  I think in your case due to the fabric of the dress a lot of it will come down to steaming and loosening it up.  Remember that the sample has been tried on a ton of times and has had time to “settle” and loosen up whereas yours is brand spankin new and will be a bit stiff/have creases etc. As for the colour, I see you said it looks darker in person but I think that it might help if you took a photo in better lighting.  The photo from when you have the sample on looks like very bright natural light and the other picture is quite dark with lots of shadows.  For what it’s worth I really like the dress you chose better than your “backup” option!

I think it looks great on you! And your figure is amazing! In the pic the dress looks ivory…but I’ll take your word that it’s the color you say it is cause I know pictures do change the color of things. I think you still have a chance of finding another dress if you look now and not later…good luck!

I think the dress looks great on you. Getting it altered should fix the fit problems, and you can get a different sash for it if you want.

I really love your dress on you – you look really fantastic!  Could you try switching up the sash to something with less of a yellow base if you’re feeling blah?
