@ms.sara:  I’m glad your situation is resolved now! Rock that dress, girl, and don’t let anyone make you feel bad! πŸ™‚ As long as you’re happy, forget the rest of them. I’m glad they were reprimanded though; they sound absolutely horrible!

oh that is awesome that it fits, but still unacceptable for the treatment, I’m sorry but that consultant should not have been there when you went back, she should be in another line of business in my opinion, brides have enough to worry about and dont need the added stress from some half wit! Wierd about the measurements, I dont think it would have mattered if you rattled off your own measurements, because what I believed mine were, were also wrong, in addition, my street size is very different from gown size, so they are just all in the crazy there.

Glad to hear things worked out. I’m glad you came back and posted an update!! πŸ™‚

@ms.sara:  And she still had the gall to give you dirty looks. Wow, what a jerk. Anyway, I’m so sorry to  hear of how you were treated – some people don’t have the sense that God gave rocks. I am happy to  hear that the issue is resolved, and I’m sure you will look like a knockout on your big day!

@AlwaysSunny:  There’s a HUGE difference in her bust, trust me. The “expert measurer” needs to be punched in the vagina, so does the other people OP talked to.

To give everyone an insight, of this truly horrific screw up, I’m a 38C, and my bust is 43.7, rounded to a 44…

My moh, is a 48F i believe. But, her bust is more like a 56. That’s 12 INCHES. No dress that I’m aware of, has that much “give” in the seam.

OP, what dicks. I’d find everyone you can to complain to, as well as get a copy of your measurements. If you didn’t sign anything agreeing to those measurements, I’d complain up, down, and across the damned street. Want me to call?! I’m a VERY hateful person, to people who are just plain stupid, and don’t care to fix it. In this case, I have some pent up issues, and your bridal shop would be the PERFECT spot for me to begin dispensing some of this aggression πŸ™‚ lol

I know this is your dream dress, and that’s definitely a hefty tag for a dress, with a store who doesn’t seem to care about the issue. Is selling your dress, and finding it cheaper or same price but the right size, an option?

Sorry to hear this. You make me nervous. I am awaiting the arrival of my dress. So what ended up happening?

@ms.sara:  How did your dress situation end up working out? I also struggle with weight issues and I agree, I would never buy a dress in a smaller size. If it has to be taken in, great! If not, then, I want it to fit. With all the pressure you’re already under, that’s terrible you had to deal with this too. I also know how you feel about comments from dear old mom πŸ˜‰

I was told if I didn’t fit mine we can convert it to a corset back to give more room

Talking to a manager was the best thing to do in that situation. I had an rude clerk tell me that I needed to lose weight and I was too fat for the dress I wanted. When I spoke to the manager, she told me that I had a lovely “voloptuous” shape and she told me that she would be helping me from that point forward.

When I go get my vow renewal dress, I will return to the same store for the great prices.

Oh man. I feel upset just reading your post! It was really mean of them to treat you that way. Hope everything worked out in the end and you got your pretty pretty gown! πŸ˜€
