@winterily: Yeah, I understand. Sorry to be repetitive. I didn’t know if the pic would help to envision it, but if it’s not your style, it’s not your style.

@winterily:  I don’t think my comment was out of line? The title is literally “my dress … does it need something else” – it needs proper undergarments. A sports bra is not going to have the same look and support of formal undergarments. Something looks off, and due to the colour of the bra underneath I assumed that was the issue, hence the suggestion of other undergarments. I wasn’t trying to insult your body, and would not have thought it was your posture. If anything insulting someones body shape/posture seems worse than suggesting a bra that isn’t a sports bra. Other people also commented on undergarments and yet you only focused on my post – after already replying.

@winterily:  I definitely don’t mean to imply that your dress doesn’t flatter your body shape. It’s very normal to wear bridal undergarments that smooth a bit for dresses that don’t have lots of boning or fluff to them like yours. That applies across all body shapes. The picture you showed shows your underwear (not only the color) and so when you mentioned that you were only planning to change the color of your undergarment, I thought to mention that bridal undergarment will create a better, smoother look.. I genuinely feel that a bridal undergarment paired with a belt with a bit more glam will be stunning on you. And your shape is beautiful and the dress is beautiful on you 😍

I love the dress, bit I think a sparkly belt would take it to a whole new level. How about commissioning one from Etsy in dark green rhinestones to go with your colors?

@winterily:  Perhaps I should have written in my post that I would be purchasing appropriate underwear as this was the day I tried it on, but I guess I figured that would be obvious

Not much is obvious on the internet unfortunately haha.

Once you decide on the belt you’ll have to post what youre thinking for hmu/shoes/other accessories!

I like the rhinestone belt much better. If you’re still looking for a bit more, maybe something with a little color like one of these?

I love your shoes! And I think a LEETLE more on the dress would be nice, but not too much. Maybe something like this?

Beaded Bridal Belt Opal Wedding Sash Belt Wedding Belt Thin image 0

I found it on etsy.

OOH! Or this one is cute: https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/501879569/silver-leaf-bridal-sash-rhinestone?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=wedding+belt&ref=sc_gallery-1-7&plkey=eb97ed3e8791a00eed0fa5369665d1cdd22bc750%3A501879569&frs=1&cns=1&col=1

Rather than a belt that goes straight across, I’d try a wider lace sash with uneven edges and a tad bit of sparkle. I think the organic edges would help the lace top transition into that etheral skirt better. It’s a softer look, and the bling is more subtle.

I’d wear a fingertip length pencil edge veil to match the edge of that skirt. If you wear an a line slip with heels, it will lift your skirt more from the floor so you prob won’t need to hem the skirt.
