I tried my dress on for the first time today and it doesn’t fit! I’m so disappointed in myself I let the people I was with convince me to order a smaller size in an attempt to force me to lose weight and now on top of everything ok have to worry about this. I am an idiot. I should have stuck up for myself.
My mom is happy that it doesn’t fit she never been happy with the fact that I’m not a size 6 and she’s even more unhappy with that fact that I don’t hate myself since I’m not a size 6. She sees my now forced diet as a victory. I completely hate planning this wedding now and I can’t wait till its all over.

=( can the dress be let out? How much do you have to lose? You still have time at least!

Can you afford a personal trainer? I hired one for the four months before my wedding and it made a big difference and help keep me honest with myself about my diet.
If you can’t, but you can join a gym or already belong to one, I’d give group fitness and honest, good try. Find a strength class and a cardio class and go to cardio 3 times a week and strength twice.
Sorry your mom is not more supportive, but I’m glad you don’t hate yourself. You can fit in that dress. You have lots of time! Good luck!

Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry. 🙁 That is a terrible situation to be in, period! I’m more straight forward so I’m going to get down to the dress. Is it close to zipping, mostly, half or not at all? Based on that, I’m sure we can figure out how to fix this without you having to feel like sh*t about wedding planning.

I would talk to alterations and see what can be done. The dress can be let out, usually one to two inches, or maybe they can add a corset back. Also, you do have time to lose weight. Join a gym or start walking and lifting weights at home. Download a meal tracker app to count calories, or join Weight Watchers. Spark people is a good website for meal/exercise tracking. It totally sucks you have to go through this. My dress is snug so I’m going to have it let out in the hips and try to lose 10 pounds. Just remember that this is your big day and you will be gorgeous.

^-^ Hello, fellow Canadian and May bride !
Sorry about the dress stress. Not trying to encourage the forced diet thing.. bit I wanted reccomend something. Have you tried myfitnesspal.com? Also there’s a myfitnesspal app. It’s like weight watchers, but free. It’s basically calorie counting. I had a fair amount of success with it.
