So I am officially stressed out.. I have tried on 60+ dresses and when I thought I found the one I started questioning myself the next day. I started questioning myself because I looked at the dress online and realized that it looks HORRIBLE on the model. I have heard that it is common that the dress will look bad online and obviusly much different on a person that would explain why many of the dresses I loved online I hated in person. Please let me know what you think! I’m attaching the link to the web site as well.
This is not a style I even looked at online prior to doing some real shopping but I loved it.. My concern with the dress is how it would look when it is my size… will this be very mermaid – ish?? where do you think the flowers will start? Ideally I would like them a little below the hips.. but I dont think that will be the case.. here is the link to the site.
PS I’ve always wanted to be a “Maggie” bride, I tried on 20 Maggie dresses and hated every single one and how it fit on me.

You look great! That skirt is so dramatic – i love the 3D flowers!

The dress is gorgous!!! I’m actually a little envious! I love the neckline, and the flowers – it’s just, so WOW. All your guests are going to be stunned when you walk down the aisle!

Beautiful, but the flowers look to be in the same place on the model as they do on you, so I am assuming that is where they will fall on your lower body. You may be able to get the dress altered to raise the floral detail, instead of hemming the dress? The dress really looks incredible on you.

The dress looks great on you. I do think the flowers will actually start higher when it’s fitted to you because it looks like the sample is too big on you. When it’s smaller I imagine the flowers will be higher.

You look stunning. Once it comes in you can talk to a seamstress about possbly moving the flowers up so they start underneath your hips. That isn’t possible in every dress but it looks like it *might* be possible with yours! And it might be an easier alteration then hemming from the bottom anyway.

I absolutely love it!! Maybe check with the seamstress to see if they would be able to move the flowers up some. It’s gorgeous!

love it – but if you are worried about it being like a mermaid – i think it will be very mermaidy.

I think it looks gorgeous! I agree with PP, you can deal with where the flowers start in alterations, don’t worry about it, you will just drive yourself nuts!

Very unique and stunning!
What is your venue like? My only thing would be it looks hard to to walk around in and easy to rip and soil.

I love this dress! It’s beautiful. I think it looks fine on the model. And you said that you love the dress. Just stick with your gut instinct. Sometimes after trying on so many dresses and with all the pressure in the media and everything to be a perfect bride we drive ourselves nuts. I tried on 40 or so dresses and have had major episodes of dress regret at times. I don’t think your size is an issue at all. You have a great figure for a mermaid style gown and this dress will look perfect on you in your size.

I think you’ve made the perfect choice. You look amazing in that dress.

I think the dress looks fantastic! It really is true that for some reason the dresses often look horrible on the models. I had a similar experience where I loved the dress in the store and then looked at it online after ordering and started questioning myself because I HATE how it looks on her! Thankfully I found another beautiful bee that has my dress and recently got married and the dress looked INCREDIBLE on her!
So go with how the dress looks on YOU!
