Have you checked out this thread?

Hey all you Married Ladies….Can I see your Before and After Pt 2!

It’s so helpful because it makes you realize how different all these gorgeous dresses look with cell phone and point-and-shoot cameras than when they are photographed professionally. It’s night and day!

So I’m thinking don’t bank too much on the photos you are taking.

Also, I have a friend who has the same build as you. She wore a wedding dress that had 3D flowers all over it. It looked stunning on her even though there was a lot going on (and, honestly, it’s impossible to make her look “big.” I imagine the same is true for you!)

I feel ya! Trust me when I say there is a world of a difference in the sample, oversized gown versus the dress you order to fit your measurements and even still after alterations to help perfectly customize everything. I am a size 2-4 and 5’9, so it was difficult not to feel overwhelmed in most of the samples I tried on. I ended up going with much too simple a dress because I liked the overall shape and didn’t want it to look theatrical, but I made a huge mistake and now have that dress up for sale. It sounds like you chose a dress that made you happy after doing your fair share of research. I think you will be pleasantly surprised and relieved by your dress when it arrives. Buying a wedding dress seems so much more stressful than buying any other dress, but really you have to just trust your judgement because you’re the one wearing it on one of the most important and photographed moments of your life! You know your style and what makes you feel good and being confident and comfortable is most important. Guests will see you, not so much your dress. 😉

I think that dress looks really good on you! You can tell the fabric is textured and I don’t think you look big at all!

I prefer it fitted through the hip to show some shape and with a sash. Definitely keep an embelished sash to play up your dress’s sparkle. Remember that these are extreme closeups and oddly angled photos of you in your dress. Make an appt for alterations and I guarantee you will feel amazing after you try it in the right size at the salon and possibly with accessories!

I love the version of it in the second picture with the belt but not quite so tight on your hips. Any of those ways it is a gorgeous dress on you! I think for sure add the belt and just remember your cell phone takes pictures nothing like a pro photographer!

I love it with the big belt, I think it’s very flattering on and really suits your figure.  If you feel beautiful in your dress that’s the important thing xx

You have nothing to worry about! I think it will look beautiful when they finish the alterations.

Just noticed the differences in necklines and much prefer the traditional sweetheart to the softened version.

OMG!!!!!  That first pic with the smaller belt and the fitted hips…WOW!!!  Drop dead gorgeous!!  Are you kidding me??  What are you so stressed out about!  I think you probably have a bad self body image (which I do too).  You look phenomenal in that gown.  Go for the more fitted look.  That way, you don’t get that feeling of drowning in the dress.  I think you look incredible.

And the belt makes all the difference.  At least for me.  I didn’t feel great about my dress until I got the belt with it too.  I also agree with the above poster and think the deeper V sweetheart is more flattering and just all over prettier.  (Just my opinion though!)

I totally love the big belt/detailed shot and the way it is in the very first pic! It is gorgeous and will fit you like a glove. Beautiful!
