@krystalite:  I finally found a dress that was a happy medium made by a local designer. Absolutely no dresses like it anywhere. (This is both a good and bad thing as I can’t see objectively how it looks on even a model…)

Is Enzoani a local designer? I learn something new every day! I tried on this exact dress and loved it, but I had my heart set on another dress. I’m 5’3″ 105lbs, so we’re about the same size. I’ll try and find a picture of me in it. I tried on a very sheer veil with no detailing at all and pinned my hair up on my side (well actually they did) and it looked pretty stunning! If you want to see a picture of it on a model, here you go:

Beautiful dress, and I agree, keep the jewelry to a minimum, some pretty drop earrings that add a bit of sparkle will be just perfect I think!

@krystalite:  Oh, lol. I guess that shows how much I know about designers too if I thought Enzoani was actually a local designer. Bahaha! I’m looking through the pictures on this computer, but it looks like these are all from my 2nd trip. I think I only put the ones from my first trip (and the one with this dress) on my mom’s computer thinking it would prevent Fiance from seeing it accidentally. Then I just got lazy and put the 2nd trip on my computer. Fiance knows not to go into any file, within a file, within a file, within a file (its Dressception!) I asked my mom to email me the pics of this dress, so hopefully she does (she might have to wait for my sister to come home and do it for her though…). As for the dress I picked, like you, I’m supersticious about putting it online! I picked a Maggie Sottero, drop-waist a-line/ballgown, with ruffles.

I really liked this one too, but Fiance wasn’t a fan when I showed him the stock picture. ๐Ÿ™

I didn’t know if the one I picked would look good on me since my size, and was afraid that it might overwhelm me, but because I have even proportions (meaning no part of my body is long/short compared to the rest of my body) and since the skirt starts about at my hips, it worked really well with my body. The Estella and the Adrianna both made my legs look a little short. If I had longer legs and a shorter torso I think they would have looked better on me. ๐Ÿ™

@krystalite:  Oh that is a beautiful dress! As for if your legs look short, no way! I wouldn’t have made that comment if I thought your legs did. You look like you have legs that stretch for miles (seriously, I am jealous how good that dress looks on you!) and I think it elongates your figure. Excellent choice!

Yes, I know! I find it so funny how, especially with petite women, we have such different needs for our bodies. Everything, down to length of our torso, legs, arms, neck, width of our shoulders and the measurements of our bust, waist, and hips is a deciding factor when it comes to what looks good on each girl. I’m sorry if this is completely off the mark, but it looks like we have a similiar figure too. I’d say you’re about 33″ 25″ 34″ ?(bust, waist, hips), so I would have been sad to see you cover it up with Ghislane! Glad you chose a dress that shows off your figure!

@krystalite:  Yes, this dress makes you look bustier! (Hope that is a good thing! I think it is!) We are almost the same then, except for the bust. I am 24 1/2″w and 34 1/2″ hips. I’m 34″ in the bust though, and honestly, your bust looks about the same as mine did, without a bra on (I assume you’re braless) so thats a good thing. I did bring an adhesive bra along with me to give me a little more “omph” and it make the top look a LOT fuller, so if you’re going for a little bit bustier look you could also go the adhesive route or get cups sewn into the top. ๐Ÿ™‚

I really want to show you the picture now because seriously, we look like we could be the same person from the hips up! I’ll post it when my mom emails me. I think it’s too late for tonight, so hopefully it’ll be tomorrow. ๐Ÿ™‚

@krystalite I have been trying to decide on the veil recently.  I originally wantes something plain, but I saw this one and I think it’s gorgeous. Just not sure if it works with the dress (also, I want to find it cheaper!).  Here it is:

I think that tear drop earrings will look perfect- but I keep thinking about adding a necklace.  Just not sure what I want yet.

For the reception, I’d love to find a pink ballet flat.  Not sure about the ceremony, since I feel like if I have heels I might be as tall as my Fiance.

No way! Haha that’s so funny! I think I will probably spring for that veil- and you’re right, it is pretty reasonable as far as veils go. I can’t believe how expensive they are either.
