I’m looking for the right shoes. I am getting eloped in Venice the first week of March 2015, and weather should be around 45-50 degrees. Here is what I have already purchased and I will be getting a feathered shawl because it will be chilly.
Here is my dress which is ivory colored and sash which I will wear over the satin belt seen below (both bhldn). Belt has both gold and silver details. I haven’t purchased any other jewelry yet. A few people suggested I avoid a stiletto heel due to the cobblestones and I definitely don’t wear to wear flats! That said, I’ve included one option that is not stiletto and the other ones are. I’m not seeing many wedges I love. I would love to see what other bees think would look nice with my dress.
Here’s a few options:
1. Kate Spade Angelique
2. Badgley Mischka Navy
3. BHLDN Ivory Booties
4 Kate Spade navy sparkly

lionessa: Your dress is stunning!! And while I love all of the shoes (and think you can’t go wrong), those BHLDN booties are to die for! I love those the most!

lionessa: I’m torn between 2 and 3. I love blue shoes on a bride, but those booties are adorable!

I voted for the sparkly rose gold shoes but the first navy blue shoes were a close second.
On a slightly irrelevant note, where is your belt from? It’s gorgeous! it will look amazing with your dress.

I vote for the booties!!!

lionessa: My vote is DEFINITELY for the booties! They are adorable 🙂

a 100% the sparkly rose gold kate spade ones! the booties are a close second. I dont think that the navy asthetically fits – it is so bright in contrast to the dress and the colour will stand out too much.. Miu Miu also have beautiful gold and silver sparkly shoes!! x

The booties are cute but they just don’t go with that dress. also keep in mind that ankle straps crelate a line that visually makes you look shorter and sometimes your leg look larger. To elongate the leg you should go with a pump. I voted the Bradley mischka pumps because they are the most elegant and Classic of the above and would go well with your very elegant and Classic dress. The kate spade glitter bow would be my second choice but because your dress is going to be hitting your shoes I’m worried about all that dark glitter sticking on the bottom of the dress and making it look dirty, same can be said abt the other pair of glitter pumps. Even if the glitter does not come off, your dress could snag on them, if you had a ball gown or shorter dress it would be a non issue, but I don’t think glitter is the way to go for the dress U chose.

I love the booties! I also like the navy pumps. I agree with pp about not going with the glittery shoes.
BWLE: I know what you mean about the booties making legs seem shorter, and that totally makes sense if she was wearing a short dress. But do you think it would be that big of a deal with a long dress? No one is going to see the shoes except when she lifts her skirt a little to walk or show the shoes off. Just asking cuz you seem like you know what you’re talking about 🙂

I think you should consider picking up some flats for at least the portion of time you’re walking to your ceremony site or walking around Venice taking pictures. It’s not really a city in which you can just easily hop in a cab and get around (obviously, haha). It’s gonna be murder on your feet.
PS – Venice is my favorite city in the world, and I’m so psyched for you! It’s so beautiful and romantic.

I just love that the kate spade rose gold matches the belt!

Those Kate Spade shoes are to die for. To die for!!

The first ones are beautiful! They definitely look like they’d be the easiest to walk in, and they go really well with the colour of your dress and the belt. Although, if you’re still looking for your something blue, I’d say the second pair!
