First of all you look beautiful! Why can’t they take it in? I would find another alteration place, if you feel it would look better with alterations.

It’s a gorgeous dress, but I’m confused as to why they can’t take it in?! I would definitely take it somewhere else for alterations because it does need to be snugged up a bit, you’re right.

I agree with PP’s; it’s a beautiful dress and I would ask other alterations places if they can take it in!  I also think that raising the sash detail an inch or two would create more of the silhouette you’re looking for!

go to a different seamstress! they might be saying they can’t take it in on the sides because it looks like the seams are on the front and back, so they can take it in there. any qualified seamstress can take the dress in wherever the seams are.

I’m agree with other posters. Try another seamstress. It’s a beautiful dress. I also agree with huckleberry with raising the sash on it.

OMG it’s so beautiful! And I like how it’s a little different with the sash and the beading on the back. I absolutely love this dress and think you look amazing!

Why on earth did they tell you they can’t take it in?  We have this dress where I work, and I’ve seen it taken in and it worked out just fine.  I would keep it (BEAUTIFUL DRESS!!!) and take it elsewhere for alterations.

It’s gorgeous, just doesn’t seem to fit your beautiful shape properly.  I have to agree about finding a good alterations person.

The dress is beautiful but like others say it is the type of dress that needs to be snug and it isn’t.  I would call other places and see what they say about alterations.  Do you have the money to afford 2 dresses?  I really think this dress looks great on you but if you think it isn’t what you want them maybe you should try looking around again.

I know there are regularly posts on here about people not being quite satisfied when their dress comes in.

I think you should talk to a few seamstresses to figure out what can and can’t be done but if it’s not what you want and you don’t think it can be altered to what you want I’d think about looking for a new dress before paying the money to get it altered.

You’ve got a good figure and I agree with the others the dressd fit isnt quite right at the moment to flatter your figure.  Maybe alterations can fix it, I ‘d ask around.

I agree with some of the PP to take it to another seamstrss and see what can be done. I don’t think it should be a problem to take it in and make it fit you more snugly!
