How exciting! Hope you’ll post pics! I got my dress within a month or less because they claimed they had it in stock in my size and didn’t have to make it from scratch.

@missmorganista: I would very, very carefully check your dress. The same thing happened to me. I ordered a Piccione dress from AA and it was supposed to take 14 weeks as it was being hand-beaded in Italy according to the store. Well, 3 weeks after I ordered it they called to let me know it was in. It was just not possible- because it wouldn’t even ship that quickly from Italy! I think what happened with my dress is that they had a sample in a warehouse in my size somewhere and thought they could get away with giving it to me. The craftmanship was super shoddy, it wasn’t even completely sewn, the corset/boning was crooked and beads were hanging off. It was so horrible that they ended up ordering me a new dress. When the new dress came in 15 weeks later it was much better. I think AA might just try to pull a one-over on brides. I found their customer service to be horrible. I would suggest you take one or two people with you who have a really good eye for detail to help look the dress over. Also, make sure you let them know you are coming….one week after they called, they told me if I didn’t come get it then they would send it back!

ETA: I didn’t write this to scare you, but I just want to make sure you get what you paid for…hopefully the same thing that happened to me will not happen to you!

@missmorganista: I assume you just got it early because that is a popular line and they had your size already made? Definitely look over any dress and try on before paying and bringing it home. Again, congrats! 🙂

@missmorganista:  I ordered my dress in Feb 2010 and was told it was coming in August. It arrived in May.  They probably had your size in stock in their warehouse. But do check every detail before you leave the store with the dress.

@missmorganista:  It probably is because they had your size in stock in the warehouse. I don’t know about the Disney line, but the Piccione line was supposed to be made to order. So if that is the case with Disney, then definitely a problem. It just depends how long it was sitting in the warehouse, etc. Just look it over very carefully and if there are any issues, don’t take no for an answer when it comes to getting the problem solved! Good luck! Hope to hear that it went great!!!

Lucky! Sometimes I think these chain stores do greatly exaggerate the time it takes for a dress to come in to make you feel pressured into buying the dress.

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses from AA and it took those 8 weeks to come in!

I would call and have them double check that they in fact have YOUR dress! AA called me 3 monthe before my dress was supposed to come in, and asked me if they should charge my card. I was like STAHP! WAIT! Lol, I wanted to try it on first before paying for it!

Thank goodness I did, because they had gotten it wrong and they had ANOTHER person’s dress down as mine! They had somehow switched our “client numbers” (Like I was 11876 and she was 11786) and they confused us.

I was lucky that I called and double checked, otheriwse, I would be paying for some other lady’s dress!!!!!

SO CALL BEFORE YOU DRIVE AN HOUR TO GO GET YOUR DRESS!!!!! Just to make sure 😀 <3

Good luck!
