My dress finally came in yesterday and I love it! But I have spent the last several months stress eating and not working out. Now my dress is too tight around my hips, causing bunching around the middle. It’s also a little short in front because it can’t be pulled all the way down. I keep telling myself everyday that I’m going to start working out again and eat better, but somehow I just don’t. Ugh, I’m so frustrated with myself! It’s sad that before I found out my dress was in yesterday, I had just had lunch which was a cheeseburger, fries, and chocolate shake from In-N-Out. And then, after I tried the dress on and it didn’t fit I had a french dip sandwich and onion rings for dinner. Any one else a stress eater? How did/do you stop?

it still looks great and I bet 5lbs would make the difference. Ok it’s Saturday so allow your self tomorrow to eat what you like, then you have 2.5 months till D Day. Ive lost 35lbs for my wedding in june and I will lose another 15lb!
The first day is the hardest then you get in a routine – you really dont need to lose much – 1/2lb a week, thats only 1600 calories or so

WOW, girl.. I wish I could still have your body if I ate the same stuff you did..!
Aside from the (very) minor bunching in the hips, I think everything looks great. I don’t even notice the shorter hem in the front unless I really really look. You may even be thankful for this because it enables you to walk around in it better 😉
I’ve read somewhere else on this site about how one Bee had an excellent seamstress work some magic on her dress to let out some seams.. and voila! No more tightness.. can that work for your dress you think?

book a class for Monday – or what ever working out you do – and pre make all your meals then carry the photo of your dress around with you
You will certainly do it…. otherwise, can they let it out? you look GREAT so letting it out would also work

You have a great figure- if you want to lose a few lbs (like 2?) then watch what you eat a bit. The dress isn’t ‘that’ tight and if you felt fine maybe just wear some Spanx. Mine take 2″ off my hips so eat that Burger!

@yram19: im in the same boat. i haven’t gone back yet to see if it fits now. When mine came in I had just gotten back from a week long trade show in Chicago and ate like crap. I need to lose about 5 pounds and am still having a hard time consistently going to the gym

@lmc100: Wow! Great job with the weight loss! Do you think I should be eating 1600 calories a day, or do I need a net loss of 1600 a week?

Honestly, your dress is fabulous on you, and I wish I looked as good as you when I was stress eating!! (I know that doesn’t help!)
Id say just stand up straight (that’ll make a difference as you’re slouching in the picture), and have the hips let out an inch.

@romantical: Thanks! They mentioned that they may be able to let it out a little, but I would really prefer if they don’t because of cost and also the idea of them changing anything on my dress scares me a little. I know I can do it if I just lay off the fast food. That’s probably the part that is frustrating me the most; I know I can lose the weight but I’m not making the changes to do it.

@yram19: aww hun take a deep breath you have a small window of time you can drop 5 lbs or so do a body flush from GNC that will get rid of some water weight and take raspberrykeytone pills make sure you get a high dosage and cut the starch out only brown rice,bread eat chicken and salads with pomegranate vinigar you can do it dont stress! no more junk food 😉

I use to stress eat all the time. I finally started to realzie that I loved chocolate way too much and eating ff etc. I started getting the skinny cow chocolates 110 calories a snack, and I would get Ordea ( i think that’s how it’s spelled) ff and bake them (120 calories for 15 ff I beleive) and i also started drinking a ton of water. at least 2 liters a day. Its been a huge help. I don’t gain , infact I lose. But to be honest you have a beautiful figure! and I don’t think you need to lose any weight. If the dress is bothering you, just be more careful and drink alot of water and you will be amazed at what a difference it makes. But again You look beautiful!

@yram19: Well, first of all, you must be doing something right if you can eat like that and look like you do! Your dress is beautiful and it doesn’t look that far off from fitting. I would print out one of those pictures and tape it to your fridge, pantry, and maybe one in your car if you’re tempted to get fast food. The good thing about having an unhealthy diet is that you don’t need to make drastic changes to lose weight. If you just start being more careful about what you eat, even getting In n Out but only having the burger and not the fries and shake, you’ll notice some changes. It won’t be a massive 20 pound weight loss in 2 months, but you don’t need that anyway!

@yram19: I honestly think the dress looks fabulous on you! The way you stress eat, you certainly don’t show it, girl! Ifyou’re really worried, then I think 5lbs would make a difference. It all depends on where you want to be. I used to stress eat myself. My advice is when you stress eat, just replace the junk food with fruit and veggies! Or if you have a juicer…juice your fruits and veggies! You’ll feel so much better physically and psychologically 🙂

@yram19: You have a beautiful figure and wow, that dress is GORGEOUS on you, but I totally understand what you are going through! I’m thin but eversince I ordered my dress, I gained 10 pounds from stress-eating (school, work, wedding planning, death in family). I know it’s ok to gain that weight but at the same time, it’s really obvious to me when I put on my jeans and I DREAD going to the bridal salon anytime soon (my dress is in storage at the salon right now). I haven’t exactly cut back on what i’m eating because i do love food, but I have started to work out 3 days a week, as opposed to none at all because I just don’t want to pay that much for alterations. I have lost 3 of the 10 lbs so far – not a lot but I’m getting there, so i think it should be ok to eat as long as you work out. :)Again, BEAUTIFUL dress!
