- Wedding: June 2013
… it’s a perfect fit! Hopefully I can post a pic soon, I just don’t have any yet!
It’s so perfect I don’t need any alterations. It’s the right hem length, it zips and is just tight enough to stay up. I don’t have any boob/underarm fit issues either. It’s amazing and so unexpected. When I tried it on in the shop it was a size too big and way too long. It was a different color and it had a train. I ordered mine in white, with no train and a size smaller, still expecting to need to pay for alterations, but low and behold, it couldn’t be more perfect.
Now, here’s the issue. I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism and I’ve had to start Synthroid. It’s a small dose to start, but we’ll see how I take to it. I was told I might drop weight, and under any other circumstances I would be thrilled, but with my wedding in June, it’s just a daunting thought to have to get the dress fitted.
Should I just embrace the idea that I could lose weight or should I be worried about it? I know I don’t have a lot of choice in how my body responds, I guess I’m just concerned. Has anyone else had big changes in their body they had to alter for? How early do you need to alter your dress? It’s just a little stressful.
