An easy way to steam it is to hang it in the bathroom and close the door, then shower as usual. It’s a trick consultants use on the road with their suits 😉

@SoupyCat:  Yay, so glad it worked out!

I’m the kind of girl that even washed my boots in the washing machine and then stuck them in the dryer as a sophomore in college… and they all turned out fine! My SO is now much more orderly than me and won’t let me do that anymore, otherwise I would still do it! lol. I’m happy for you!

    Awesome!

I did this with a dress once too. Had an old dress that I used on a model for a TTD session. Wanted to use it again in a second location so I just put it in the washing machine and hung it to dry.

I did this with a blue and white formal dress that ended up in a lake (I might have been wearing it at the time) and it worked out great. Glad your washing was a succcess!

LOVE this post!  Too funny!  And I’m so glad it worked… I can just picture dry-cleaners around the country collectively gasping!

I’m so glad this worked for you! I’m planning to wash my soon, it’s poly with no beads so hopefully I won’t have any problems 🙂 What type of pre-wash did you use? Does it matter?
