- Wedding: July 2013 - rolling hills of southern italy
I bought my dress alone. I first tried it on alone. I have done this with the help of only you, bees. And where would I be without you now? I think my wedding dress is… “Not so bad” and I don’t know if that’s enough!
I got my dress altered at a local tailor.
I will save my commentary for after the pictures.
BACK BEFORE: it was nothing special and I knew I had to change it.the waist was a good fit, but the bust was too loose and an odd shape and had to be taken in.
BACK NOW: I love it. The bow looks awful because it is makeshift at the moment, but it is the general idea of the bow that will be. I love the lace up closure… I didn’t think I would want that, but I’m happy with it. Also my skin is all bunchy… But that’s easy to fix.
FRONT BEFORE: my bust kind of just floating around hanging out behind the boning…but it’s hard to tell.
Front NOW: unfortunately … It’s pretty much the same. The top was taken in a bit so it sits on, not hovers over my bust, but the result is just pointy boob girl (worst superhero ever.) I’m a d and these are b cups, so the shape is really bad.
also, there is a spot on the dress now. I did not make said spot. I know this for a fact. The lady said it looks like foundation and should be easy to get out. Since when is foundation easy to get out of a white dress?! See if you can find it. It’s like where’s Waldo but with a higher price tag. I am pretending to myself that this doesn’t worry me.
I really don’t like this. At all.
And for your pondering… Another view. Was this a fail? Is this me being neurotic? What do you think? Time to go buy a new dress? I’m going a little crazy here doing this alone!
And I swear I’m not pregnant even if the dress makes that question come to mind.!
I asked if we could rip off all that rouching on the bust and cover me in thickish lace … She said no. 🙁 she also cannot fix torpedo boobs.
