The length of your dress looks fine to me!  My best friend had a similar issue as you with her lace wedding dress and asked the seamstress to make sure the bottom of her dress touched the floor.  Unfortunately, she regretted that choice because she tore the bottom of the lace during her reception while she was busy hugging/greeting people.   Just something to keep in mind~ Your dress is gorgeous by the way!

@mgw:  Love the dress! I also think the length of the dress is perfect.

@mgw:  You look gorgeous! Congratulations! I got the call today that my dress will be in the first week of June, but it doesn’t compare to the feeling of having it all done being altered! Does it feel real now?!

You looking stunning, your dress is so elegant and romantic. The length looks fine too me too, if you wore flats I would imagine you might trip over or tear the lace.

@mgw:  Here’s the one shot I have; this is when I picked it up from the salon, so I (still) need to drop a few pounds and get it altered.  If you don’t mind my asking, how much were your alterations?  What kind of bustle did you do?

@mgw:  Thank you!

I’m a little nervous to take it in for the first fitting; I’ll need to have the keyhole back fixed also, and besides the cups/pads they’ll need to fix the top of the bust as well.  It sounds like you got a fair deal on your alterations!

Did they attach the lace to the slip for the bustle?  I’m so surprised at how heavy the dress is!  I’m thinking about doing a three-point overbustle for the lace layer, and then an underbustle for the slip to distribute the weight better.

I’m so excited for you!  I’d love to see photos of how your whole look turns out!
