Sorry about your dress, but I am sure that a good seamstress will be able to let it out a bit.  Doesn’t sound like you need a whole lot.  You should call a seamstress soon so you can take the dress to her and discuss it, it can take a bit of time to get a dress done correctly and you want to have plenty of time.  Let us know how it goes.

Six months is a long time. How close are you to fitting comfortably in the dress? Even if they can let it out, if you’re going to continue dieting and exercising, you may not want to make final alterations until closer to the wedding, or you may just have to take it back in. (Talk to the shop and double check their timeframe on alterations, so you have an idea of how long it’ll take.)

Yeah, I say just get on a diet plan and address it now–before the holidays. That’s what I’m doing. I got a size eight that can barely zip up. I know I need to lose the weight anyways because I do not like how the puckering I’m getting feels on me. So I went ahead and got the dress on purpose to motivate me to lose this flabbiness.
