I’m new to the boards and have learned so much from you all over the past few weeks. Now it’s my turn to ask for help.
My mom has generously offered to buy my dress. She gave me a budget of $2500, but my mental budget is $1500 because I would like to stretch her contribution to cover tax, alterations, shoes, headpiece etc. However, I do have room in the budget to pay for the alterations and accessories myself.
The first contender is by Alita Graham (Style # 32233397). Both my mom and I teared up when I put it on, but we agreed we don’t know if it was the dress or the fact that it was the first dress I tried on. I love everything about it except the price (retails for $2800 but consultant immediately knocked it down to $2450 based on our stated budget of $2500). Tax ($200) and alterations ($600) would bring the total to a whopping $3250. Salon did not allow pics but here it is on the model:
The second contender is the Watters Mojave/Gobi/Wtoo Mimi (same dress in different fabrics priced at appx $1200/2100/700). This dress feels the most like “me” (and it has pockets!), but I have concerns about all three of the fabrics Here I am in the Mojave:
The third contender is the Wtoo Olivia. This dress is nothing like what I thought I would like! I saw it on the mannequin and had to try it on. I love the wow factor and when I had it on I thought it was THE dress. The next day, however, I began to second guess myself. Mostly I am worried that my fiancee will think it is weird. She has very traditional, preppy taste. Also, I don’t think I could buy a blush dress without asking her first. It does come in ivory but I have only seen it in blush, plus I think the color makes this dress.
I have tried on about 30 dresses and am emotionally exhausted. I am ready to be done! Bees, please help!

That last one fits you like it was made for you and is just so soft, romantic and beautiful! Just stunning. I even love the blush color on you but I think that it would be just as beautiful in the ivory.
My Darling Husband loves that one two, even in the blush. Thought I woud throw that in.

Wow, LOVE that last one! They are all nice though…

Wow I LOVE the blush dress! It’s gorgeous and I think it looks stunning on you. I would ask your fiancee how she feels about the blush color, and if she’s absolutely against it I think you should get it anyway. It’s that beautiful. She will understand once she sees you in it!

Wow, that was fast! Thank you!!!! I have literally been in tears over this decision so it means a lot to hear positive feedback from someone besides my mother.
I meant to say in my original post that the Wtoo Olivia retails for $1300. It packs a lot of punch for the dollar!

You seriously look like a bridal model in the blush dress, the ivory would be stunning too!

I absolutely ADORE you in the last one! It’s like it was made for you! I’m sure the color wouldn’t be an issue, but if it was, the Ivory would most definitely still be amazing because that dress is stunning!
And welcome. 🙂

I love the Olivia- will your Fiancee be seeing your dress before the wedding? Are you worried with it clashing with her dress? I would just ask her how she feels about non-white dresses.
