The dress you bought is gorgeous, and what a great deal!  I don’t know what to say about the heat, other than to maybe wear your hair up?  You can keep an eye on the classifieds just in case your first choice shows up anywhere, but if it doesn’t, rest assured that your dress is stunning!

If you wear a “bell shell” which is like a hoop skirt essentially, you could make it go out, so the dress won’t touch your legs.  Don’t wear a veil and it won’t be hot!

Congrats on finding your dress so early.

The Pronovias IS gorgeous, but it looks like it will be heavy with all the lace and beading. And there’s really no room to wear a slip under it to keep it away from your legs, as the PP suggested you do with the first. I think your Casablanca dress is pretty and well-suited to a summer wedding!

I agree.  The 2nd dress looks heavy, though I could certainly be wrong.  Keep an eye out for the 2nd dress and/or you could have it made with a reputable dressmaker, but keep the dress you have just in case.  If you find the 2nd dress or have it made you can sell the dress you have and recoup what you spent on it.
