Ladies, I can really see mtself walking down the aisle in this dress, but…I’m not sure whether I want to go with my mom’s idea of adding lace sleeves or leaving it the way it is. I love the strapless look and feel but at the same time I’m self conscious and I’m just not sure. What do you think?

Would they have to be permanent lace sleeves? I think both ways would look nice. If you feel more comfortable with sleeves then add them. Or you could have removable sleeves so you could change up the look if you wanted

I think it looks beautiful on you! Have you seen what the dress looks like with the sleeves? If you haven’t, and you eventually do and you don’t (almost) instantly think you like it more, then I would go with the original design of the dress. I think either way would look amazing.

I think the dress looks SO good on you! In my humble (haha) opinion, I think adding the sleeves or the illusion of sleeves will call more attention to the area you are already self conscious about.

that’s what I was thinking! My shoulders are wide enough as it is (figured that out with 13 years of competitive swimming) and I think sleeves or illusion will just make me look even wider

The dress looks great as is! You could try on a removable lace bolero? I got a lace sleeved bolero for my dress but it actually makes me feel kind of old and matronly 🙁

I think it looks great on you as is. I think added sleeves always looks a bit awkward, and never as good as intentional sleeves. Plus they ALWAYS draw more attention right to the arms. Big white arrow.

I think your arms look fine. It is a fab dress, and you look great!
The thing is, have you always felt insecure about your arms? If you have, I would start wearing sleeveless tops to get comfortable with the look. If this is somethingt hat you just can’t get comfortable with, I’d add sleeves or a bolero. You don’t want to feel self conscious on your wedding day. You want to feel beautiful and care free.
