What did the shop say when you pointed out the error?  And when you signed off on the order form, did the order form say petite?

What did they say to you about it and what does your contract say?  How long did it actually take to come in?   If it was their mistake they can reorder the dress and pay the additional cost for a rush order.

That shop should be responsible not you! They should order a new dress and get it expedited. You should not have to be worried over their mistake. I would go in there demanding that they fix it immediately. Remind them that people talking about the negative experiences with a store travels fast and you would love for them to fix this mistake so that your experience ends up being positive.

no, this is their error.  you need to demand that they make this right.  they can rush order the dress at their expense.

Yep. This is NOT YOUR FAULT. They need to sort this out and if it costs them to do it, then so be it.
