I went dress shopping and maybe because I am a more mature bride and this is my second wedding, I downplayed my dress shopping experience. I bought a dress that felt comfortable, on sale and I thought it was nice. It did not knock my socks off and nothing I tried on at The store did. I wanted sweetheart neckline and tulle. Soft and flowy. I did not bring anyone with me and really treated the experience as something to check off my list. I am very practical and if you would have told me I would be purchasing another gown I would never believe you. But I did and I don’t regret it.
I tried on my bargain dress recently and just felt wrong in it. Nothing about it made me feel pretty or bridal. I started searching for a second gown on bridal resale websites and fell I love with a Stella York gown on preowned wedding gown and Something told me that this was my dress and I took a leap of faith and I bought it. It’s perfect and it was a steal.
im the end I am so glad that I trusted my gut and bought a second dress. I will resell my original dress or donate it.
