@Purple_Bride:  I don’t know, you can’t make the hotel pay up without some sort of pressure.

I honestly don’t know what their legal liability is, but I’m guessing they are not responsible. Perhaps management would extend some money as a goodwill gesture if the right pressure was extended on them.

@Tess63110:  well at least you were not at that hotel the day b4 the wedding and it was not taken b4 you wore it …. you should maybe write one of those news casters who talk about outragous behavior of companys when things go badly and your being ripped off

fact is the hotel should let you see the footage … the police should be dealing with it too but i would def try and get some bad press on the hotel for being so anal and not helping you locate your gown

Oh my goodness. I am so sorry that happened to you. I agree with all the PP’s who said it has to be an employee. Who else could it be and what else have/are they stealing from other people. Definitely get a lawyer and start hounding their corporate office/management to turn over the tapes to the police as well as telling the hotel that you’ll be going to the media. I hope you get this resolved quickly.

Honestly, get a lawyer.. It’s the entire principle of the thing. Someone violated your space, your privacy, and your wedding dress!

@Tess63110:  That’s horrible and I can’t imagine the type of person that could do such a thing.  The local news channel would love your story and hopefully would be able to help you out.

Sue them! There is sentimental value as well as emotional distress you could get paid for. Name and shame them and tag their name in the post to let people know. Tell Yahoo news to get the word out.

@Tess63110:  Why do people do stuff like that??  It would have to be an employee, as they would be the only ones (besides you ane your hubby) to have access.

I read stuff like this and I am just sickened at the logical thought process that would go into stealing a wedding dress out of a hotel room!!  I don’t understand why anyone would want it.   But then again…..I am really not surprised at anything life dishes out anymore.

A wedding dress…..what a slug this person must be.  That is so just….???

I guess on the bright side, at least you have had your moment in the dress.

But it still doesn’t take the sting out of something of yours being lifted by someone else.

I am sorry I hope they get it back for you!!

Tess63110:  This same exact thing happened to me. What hotel was this at? It happened to me on May 4, 2015 in Asbury Park. No one will give me any answers. Did you ever file a lawsuit?
