Its not my cup of tea. I think the way the satin is gathered around the lace in front is awkward (maybe steaming will fix this?) I also think altering a dress down that many sizes is dangerous, its going to take someone talented to make sure the bust proportions still look good.

All that matters is that you like your dress, what made you pick it in the first place? Don’t let other people sway you if this is really the look you were going for.

hmm..its a nice dress..but you have a nice body..have you considered anything besides a ball gown???

but if you like it; keep it..if not..then maybe you should look to other dresses if you can buy

My opinion is probably biased because I hate pickups and satin, but putting that aside I don’t think this dress does your figure any justice. You can do better.

Love. Just saying. BUT if you’re doubting it then I might sit down and list all the things you’re not loving about it anymore. Have some more pictures taken in it, including outside if you can. It’s really hard to tell though since it’s so big on you now, how perfect it’ll look once it fits!

It’s not the dress that doesn’t photograph well, it’s the photographer! Professional photographers know how to position you + lighting + everyone else to make sure you (and your dress) look the best. If you like the dress on, and you hired a decent photographer, don’t worry about all those other pictures which were probably taken with a camera phone anyway.

It shouldn’t really matter what other people think, but it’s concerning that YOU are having doubts. If you aren’t 100% in love with the dress, keep looking!

I’ve seen this dress in quite a few pictures and I usually detest it.  There is just something about the dress I don’t like.  However, I think that (even as big as it is now) it looks quite good on you.  Once it is fitted, I am sure that you will have no regrets.  You have a phenominal body and I know the dress will look great on your day.  If you love the dress, it will show and everyone will think you look beautiful.  If you’re not sure about the dress or you don’t like it any more…maybe try looking at other styles and see what you gravitate to.  Good luck! I know you will be a beautiful bride.

The dress may not be everyone’s style, but it’s still a pretty dress, especially if you love it.  You chose it for a reason and remember that.  Someone will always have a negative opinion about your dress because they would probably personally pick something differet and that’s ok – it’s what makes the world go ’round.  🙂

Oh it is beautiful!  That is definitely a princess dress!!  I agree with PP, pro photography will make the dress look amazing.

People that don’t like would probably want a plainer dress themselves.  But for those of us who love fancy clothes, we’ll think it’s awesome!!

You said yourself you think it is gorgeous, so there you go!

Something my mom encouraged me to do was not to show my dress to anyone before the wedding — that way none of my less tactful but well-meaning friends could let slip an, “Oh… that’s… interesting,” or something similar. She was right!

EVERYONE in the wold is going to have an opinion on everyone’s dress — it’s just the way it is. Wear what you like and don’t worry. Whether it’s everyone’s style or not, it is a beautiful, well-made dress.

I think its beautiful on you. Its a great dress. The only thing that matters really is if you like it. So if you do dont let others change your mind. It is gorgeous.

I hate it. 🙁 It’s not my dress though, it’s yours.

You’re tiny like me. We need to get our dresses fitted first before we can decide.

“I think its gorgeous on”

You’re letting pictures taken with a camera phone affect you?  These pictures are no where near the ones that will be taken by your photograher.

You said you’re a size 1, so that means you’ve been shopping in the juniors department.  Clothes are cut pretty unusually in juniors and you might not be used to the more substantial feel of a wedding gown.

Why don’t you have the dress fitted now?  It might really help you see the dress you fell in love with!
