Hello everyone! I became engaged in February, and ever since then I’ve been lurking on a few weddings boards.
So after taking the plunge of ordering my wedding dress from an online vendor (thanks to the great reviews on here!), I’ve decided to come out of the shadows and share my experiences with DressilyMe thus far!
I’ve just received pictures of my wedding dress, and I’m a little iffy about certain details. I’d love to hear your guys’ opinion about it. 🙂
Here’s the original I tried on at DB:

Now here’s my dress from DressilyMe. I took about a million photos so they could get everything perfect, lol. It looks like the top doesn’t have the floral design, the front is a bit off-center, the shoulder strap a little short, and I think when I sent them photos of the bottom they thought it was the design in the front, because the bottom doesn’t have any detail work at all. Overall it’s nice, but not quite what I wanted.

I think you need some more close up photos of the bodice from them. I agree that the strap looks shorter, and the front applique/detail at the bottom is way off centre. I think what stands out to me a lot is that the one you tried on has a dark grey/silver thread that really makes all the detail pop, but the Dressily one looks white on white, so it gets lost.

I think it looks beautiful so far! Just needs a little work on the bodice and some detail work on the bottom.

Why is the detail work on the bottom not centered like in the DB sample? Did you want it this way?

This is my honest opinion:
On the bottom of the dress, the design doesn’t line up with the top of the gown like it does in the original. Also, the point where the bodice and the skirt meet on the original gown flows very nicely and it looks like one piece.
The bodice and the skirt of the second gown looks like two seperate pieces, and I think that could be because the design of the lace and flowers isn’t as big or as noticable as it is in the original gown. You can still see where the bodice and skirt meet on the second gown.

I’m not sure if you asked for the detail on the bottom to be off centre but i think it looks nice that way because its opposite the one shoulder strap. Perhaps you will feel better when you’ve seen some close up pictures. getting a dress made to replicate an original is never going to be exactly the same but i think it looks beautiful.

Alright, I waited until they made the alterations to respond to everyone’s post. So now it’s here and I’m very pleased with the fixes they made! :]
@bakerella I forgot that they had made the strap shorter because of my custom sizing; it should cover up more of my front than the dress at DB. They specifically asked me if I wanted white appliques with a silver hem, so I don’t know why it looks so white. But at least it looks pretty!
@Lyndzo Thank you! And with the alterations, they did just that. :]
@BellaDee No, it was supposed to be centered. I asked them to fix that also, but I haven’t received pictures of it. But after reading hereformydailydose’s comment, I feel way better about it.
@honie309 I took your advice and had them fix the smoothness between bodice and skirt. They did a great job on it!
@Hereformydailydose Like I said earlier, you made me see that little off-center flaw as something more creative. I hadn’t thought of it like that! So thank you. :]
Seeing the up close shots of the bodice revealed that the design isn’t all like the one I asked them to do. But I’m actually okay with that, because it still looks stunning. The bottom back design isn’t nearly as large as the original, but it’s also very nice.
And now, here are the new pictures!
Overall, I’m quite pleased with the result! Now I just want it to get here, lol!

It is very pretty! A difference that I see is that the sweetheart neckline seems a bit more pronounced in the original, which by the way looks lovely on you!

I know the pictures came out a little eh because of my camera, but my dress is gorgeous! We’re totally new to lace up backs so it’s a little loose. lol!
@thelaw610: I bet it will! They did a great job! I hope you post pictures of yours too. 🙂
@allyfally: Wow, thanks for letting me know! In a way I’m both pleased and jealous. I don’t want anyone to wear my dress, lol!
@leeshabee: Thank you very much! I worried for nothing; it fit perfectly!
