Thanks I am currently looking at them. I actually paid attention to your threads, as you were explaining the reasons why Jeff Liu may not be the best choice, instead of just ditching him. I appreciated that.
He emailed me back, but I will not go with him.
I was debating in between 3 sellers though Jeff Liu who is not a contender anymore, Dressilyme but they haven’t answered my 2 emails, I am still waiting for them honestly, to see their quote.
Then, [email protected] hotmail.com (Ebay stor eEnjoy) I saw his work on a dress and he sent me picture of another dress he worked on, he does a good work and he has good ebay feedback but not a lot of pictures though.
Tell me what you think.
Here is what I found about Zimo318 so far:
And he sent me this, I wanted to see something with organza or voile:
Hi, I appreciate the advice.
As I am not going with Satin but with organza, I will try someone else. But keep him in my favourite for other dresses maybe.
As I wrote in another thread I am now waiting for a dressilyme quote. I emailed them 3 days ago on their websote but I did not recveive an answer yet. I received an answer from a Ebay vendor who has good feedback. I just posted his work on that board.
Let me know what you think.
He gave me a good price for the San Patrick Edimburgo I want, he quoted $240, and I changed the neckline to sweetheart (better on me)
here is it with sweetheart but the bride removed the strap:
I’m going with Dressilyme now & so far the customer service has been great- thier emails have been detailed & had great english, plus you can call them where as several other companies do not have a contact #. They got back to me right away & I think they just had a holiday so maybe that’s why they haven’t contacted you?? Not sure about that. I can’t find it right now, but there’s a projectwedding.com group forum dedicated to dressilyme (help adw2c ?). Otherwise, I’d take a look at Landybridal, Monica’s Bridal, babyonline & corals bridal- they all have a decent amount of very happy customers. Good luck to you! I hope you’ll eventually post your experience.
http://www.projectwedding.com/groups/boards/dressilyme-dress-es I think this is the link your talking about ^_^ I have seen some happy girls on here. Some of the posts are pretty old and some are new. I also have my reviews on there.
I haven’t heard of or worked with Zimo318. But these pictures look wonderful. The quote is good too. It looks like you have done plenty of research and narrowed it down to a good number.
If you look on their website you can see their hours of operation. I live here in Japan so its the same time for me!! Yay!!! But for those out West it can seem like ages. We are 12hours ahead. The company is open from Monday to Saturday 8:30a.m. -6:00p.m. EST
You can get a quick response to your quote by calling their number during these times. http://www.dressilyme.com/contact-us-hd-35/
I adore your dress by the way! Its absolutely fabulous.
I would say that for you the most important thing would be how you feel about their fabric. If you have time you can request fabric samples from dressilyme or Zimo318. If not then you have already seen the work from Zimo318 and as for dressilyme I would request the sample for these pictures. They both should be made from the material your interested in.
I would make a suggestion with the cut you have a mermaid/trumpet style. I would get professional mearsurements so that the dress isn’t restricting. Not loose but flexible so you can sit down! I have heard of some girls providing the wrong measurements to any custom company.
I just found some old pics from a girl that bought organza in the past from them. She was on the projectwedding site.
It looks ike she had problems the 1st time she ordered because she asked them to make it in chiffon. I don’t think she knew her materials. The orginal gown was in Silk Organza.
Which ever company you go with maybe you should consider requesting a good material for the Organza. If you can get fabric samples that would be the best so that you won’t have something surprising
I just found the cutest thing it the bag for this dress. I can’t believe I missed it. They gave me a cute bag of extra beading. I suppose its just in case I ever need to repair my gown. The beading is secure and well constructed but its comforting to know that I have backups just in case. I didn’t expect that ^_^
I was just about to toss it and then I saw the sparkles. Aww!!!! Little things make me happy.
I emailed them today to get some updates on the dress, I am trying not to think about it that much otherwise I will just be a mess. I just hope for the best!
Sorry ladies for some reason even though I suscribe to the topic via email, I did not receive these threads at all. I received the ones prior to these 2 weeks though.
Anyway, it is too weird to even understand.
