Bridey77: Yes, that is our Christian view as well. Of course we are not married yet but anyone who says that they let their SO do whatever they want with their bodies has to be the most perfect wife/husband on the face of the earth. I do not know one single person who does not wish their SO dressed differently, drank less, didnt smoke, ate better, exercised more, whatever. Again, I dont like seeing them in our photos, but it is what it is (not like I demanded he go have it removed) and as another bee mentioned I can always have the photographer photoshop them. 😉

I told my fi no tatoos and he said no to my boob job. Still happy! I’d be pretty pissed too the worst part is that it could mean apple or something crazy lol.

I don’t really see how this can translate to a full sleeve. Obviously he hasnt put much thought into what he permanently wants inked on his body, and unfortunately both of you are stuck looking at it. Hopefully it will turn into one of those “remember when” stories?
I agree with Atalanta in that he did go about it in an immature way. I finally got the tattoo that I had been planning to get for some time which was a total surprise to my fiance, in a good way. I never discussed it with him because getting tattoos is a personal thing however I knew he would appreciate it because of the symbolism. But thats how we roll.
I strongly advise against going down that path of retaliation. Definitely not a good look. I wish you guys all the best.

lola.t.gomez: Not saying that getting a tattoo in a language you don’t know isn’t a stupid ass decision, but he really didn’t get anything crazy.
