My dress is finally in and I got to see my whole look together for the first time today! It was so cool to see all of the little pieces in place…minus the hair since I will be going for something a little classier than the ponytail/bun look.
I had no idea when I got engaged that my whole look would turn into an Edwardian/Art Deco-inspired thing. I was sure I wanted an A-line, 50s-inspired, tea-length dress. So…yeah.
I haven’t been to any fittings yet so the dress doesn’t quite fit me still (especially on the top). But I was too giddy not to share. Thank the lord for Weddingbee — the home of indulging my wedding glee.
The top will not look like that when it fits (hopefully)! The lace will be lined, it will be further up and I might even possibly add a little lace insert to the middle.
So it’ll look more like this:
