I’m just having one of those days, where my emotions are running rampant.
For starters, on Monday my Mother was involved in a car accident back home (about 4 hours away from me driving – if I had a car). Basically she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, two other cars collided and one of those cars landed on the hood of her car. I am so thankful that she is alive and not more injured than what she is. That being said the road to recovery is going to be tough, she’s really sore, dizzy and nauseated and has been really forgetful (I would be too, it’s stressful being in any accident). I am also really thankful that she has an amazing boyfriend who is there to help her out as much as he can.
Then there’s been a lot of stories on the news/media about children being harmed, etc. and it’s SO upsetting. The Amber Alert in AB is specifically distressing.
To top it off, I have baby fever. WHAT THE ACTUAL EFF. My Future Sister-In-Law had her baby last week, and he is so stinkin cute! I just want all of the baby snuggles.
Thankfully we’re visiting our hometown next week, so I’ll be able to see my Mom (and give her the biggest hug), and see Future Sister-In-Law, nephew and hopefully get rid of the baby fever….or make it worse, who knows.
Long story short: I’m sad, anxious and have effing baby fever.
Any stress management tips are welcome, as well as how to get rid of baby fever (making a baby is not an option – at least for the next 5 years or so).
