I’m so annoyed right now, while we were out in a busy city on Saturday night a massive guy barged into me really forcefully while I had my arm around fiance and his coat must have got caught on my ring and the entire head is bent now!
Thank god I noticed the next morning so I stopped wearing it to avoid further damage. I will take it to a jeweler today and see what they say, it is frustrating because I just paid the deposit for a local designer to make a bespoke wedding ring so I’m going to have to put that on hold until my ring has been repaired in case the measurements are different.
I’m just venting, i’m annoyed because I baby my ring but obviously you can’t account for other people!

That is my biggest fear with a ring. Best of luck, Bee!

Ouch. That’s quite a bend. Sorry it happened!

I could really feel the force when the guy knocked into me so I’m almost suprised it wasn’t worse!
UPDATE. The good news is I got it fixed during lunch for £30, the guy gave it a polish too so it is looking great.
The bad news is I have designed a gorgeous tiara style wedding with a local jeweler and the band isn’t cheap so it has made me nervous about having a bespoke band made since my engagement ring is obviously fragile. I don’t want to pay a lot for a band and then something happen to the engagement ring as the band isn’t the style you can wear alone so I think i’m going to have to bite the bullet and have the local jeweler remake my engagement ring along side the band.

Hey bee don’t worry it happens to mine brought it to our jeweler and all she said was some rings mold to your finger. Hopefully someone didn’t ruin it. But it looks like it was just bent a bit. And they can hammer it out on a statue hand thing. But eventually it will mold to your finger again. If that was the case Which is normal. So don’t stress. They should be able to fix it very quick. If you have a warranty on the ring shouldn’t cost anything. Even if you don’t still shouldn’t be an expensive fix. Praying for the best!

zzar45 : HOLY SHI*T BEE, are you kidding me. I hope that dude at least said “sorry” or “oops excuse me” UGH! Well, I am so glad you were able to get it fixed. It has be nervous too because I have whacked mine a few times, and its always scary to do that initial inspection because I am always afraid I will see what happened to you! It could happen to anyone of us! I hope your dang finger is ok. For your ring to bend like that it had to be a pretty hard snag! Geeze. So I am not sure what kind the band you are wanting to get, looks like, but I know you mentioned it is not one that you can wear on its own in the event something like this happens again. What if you got a back up band? Maybe just a plain channel set band that you just have in the event something does happen? Or even a plain gold band? I hate for you to not get the band you really love in preparation that your ring might have to be repaired again. Is your head a 4 prong or 6 prong? Is there a way to strengthen the head? I know I have seen your beauty before but I don’t remember exactly what it looks like I just know I loved it. Isn’t it scary to think you could have lost the center stone! UGH! Glad all seems to be fixed though, but don’t give up yet on your custom band perhaps find a cheap alternative as a backup?
Hope to see an update with whatever band you do get 🙂

zzar45 : Man, that sucks! I woulda throat punched someone if they slammed into me that hard.
On the bright side, the head on that ring did the job as she was intended to do, and that is to protect that stone.
I’d say she did that, since you went home with her still in place! What a blessing.
