I know lots of people who do mixed metals. One girl at my work has a gorgeous ring that was in platinum, and bands in gold and rose gold. Perhaps pictures would help us assess though?

cestdanielle:  I think wearing yellow or rose gold with a white-toned metal is lovely. It’s a look that has become more and more popular, and I don’t think anyone would give it a second thought if you decided to wear jewelry of different metal types. I have both a yellow and white gold band and a rose gold band that I often wear with my platinum jewelry.

I think it just comes down to what you like and enjoy. Some people love to match, and that’s a great thing. Other people love to mix things up a bit, and that’s a great thing, too. The only thing that matters is what YOU like and what YOU are comfortable wearing.

Maybe you can try rodium plating to give the ‘gold’ look to your ring?

I think mixing metals is pretty common these days.
