Hi All! I feel bad that I left for a little while, but I’m back and I just wanted to share my story with you (if anyone still cares, haha).
He told me that afternoon that he wanted to go out for dinner to a mexican restaurant that we went on our second date at. I left school early, went to my eye dr appointment and I didn’t get home until around 5:30 pm. That night that I decided to leave the WB for a little while and I had a talk with my boyfriend about things that were said on here and I realized that I just wanted to be with him. I told him that I ultimately didn’t care if he wanted to marry me or not, I would stay with him regardless because he is my best friend and I can’t see my life without him in it. I didn’t want him to feel like I was forcing him into anything he didn’t want.
After our talk, he told me that he would drive to the restaurant. So we got our things and headed out to the car. I sat down and I mentioned one last time to him that I loved him and I would never in a million years leave him. He looks at me and asks me if I could get his glasses out of the glove compartment (he always asks me to do that when he drives at night). I open the glove compartment and the ring box was sitting where his glasses normally were. I looked at him and said, “where are your glasses?” He looked at me funny and then pulls the box out and sarcastically says, “I know we haven’t been together a long time… I know you might think I’m rushing into this… but I love you and I want to marry you.” (We have been together 5.5 years now, so it was really funny to hear him say that) I actually teared up and bit (which I never thought I’d do because I was expecting the proposal) and he put the ring on me and we did all that mushy stuff and went to dinner!
I’ll post my ring ASAP, so you all can check it out. It’s a white sapphire. I’m terrified of losing a diamond, so we went with something that was less expensive, but definitely just as beautiful and I think the setting makes it even more so!
