Since I began getting serious about my wedding planning, I spend a little too much time on wedding blogs. This is my first post to a blog, but I am no stranger to them! I have had endless inspration thanks to blogs like weddingbee.
One website that I am completely addicted to is etsy! I can’t believe all of the AMAZING things I have found on there. I am a graphic designer, but not the worlds gratest illustrator. instead of using a mediocre illustration on my invites, I found someone on esty to make a one-color illustration of orchids (my wedding flower) that I will use when I design my invites. She is also making me a map, I just sent her link to my reception and ceremony location, along with the 2 hotels guests will be staying in. This is the answer to all of my invitation designing nervousness (that I’ve been thinking about for months).
Here is a link to her etsy shop, if anyone else wants to design their invitations with a beautiful illustration, but can’t come up with that beuty on their own:
I also uploaded a pic of an invitation she designed and put together herself. I am SO excited about this, I had to post my first blog.

beautiful! ETSY is great! Lots of Bees post about their favorite sellers and their purchasing experiences, so be sure to let us see what you buy!

I got a vintage cake topper there. Everything for my wedding is going to be sort of vintage/old fashioned, so etsy and ebay have been great.
And your invitations are beautiful. Are they printed, engraved, letterpress?

They look awesome! I too used a store on Etsy to design our invitations and can’t wait to see them in person! I’m also looking at a veil that I want to get on there. I’ve been looking at it now for 3 months. So I’m thinking it must be the one 😉

My goodness, I don’t know where I would be without etsy. To date I have gotten my Save-The-Date Cards from them (on another thread somewhere), purchasing my veil from them (customed), my mothers and readers ribbon corsages from them, my invitations, probably going to get my girl’s and mine headpieces from them too. Life saver for the shoestring bride.

Thank you! I can’t wait for the illustration. I have ordered a lot on etsy already, hair accessories for my engagement shoot, paper pomanders, bridesmaids earrings etc. I don’t know how people ever got married without it!
