So far, the most ridiculous thing I’ve splurged on is my $9/each (to rent!) charger plates!  But they’re gorgeous and will make the tables look amazing, so I think it’s worth it.  A close second is the table linens, overlays and napkins.

As far as personal splurges, I would have to say my Swarovski jewelry (earrings, necklace, bracelet) at $525, and the supplies for my strassed shoes ($570).

@Tangled:  Love the dress and bracelet!

We went on holiday and had a very expensive steak dinner, he bought me a Tory Burch handbag and jewelry box, and a Tiffany’s necklace (silver but still not cheap). I guess I didn’t spend my own money on this stuff but it’s pretty splurgy for us.

I spent big money on my venue and photography….but its SO WORTH IT and I can’t wait to show the photos.  Also, My DJ was more expensive that I planned, but its ok because we aren’t over budet yet.

Everything else has been majorly discounted or free from friends and family.  I feel majorly blessed and thankful for this!

Things I did NOT get on sale: My head piece $100, 2 crystal bracelets $45 each.  Not a lot, but I wanted very specific pieces that I couldn’t find on sale.

My veil. It’s cathedral length, with some embroidery and beading that matches my dress perfectly, and I love it.

I didn’t day dream a lot about my wedding, but I always saw myself in a cathedral veil, so I don’t feel so bad about the splurge.

My $325 Angela Nuran shoes! But I justify it by saying my feet with be comfortable for the full 10 hours the will be in them! And my Chivari chairs that I just had to have no matter how much they would cost ($1500) but they make such a big difference in the room!

Shoes: Theodora & Callum teal velvet wedges.  Need I say more?  They were impractical as hell for a hike down a ravine to the ceremony site, but beautiful, and I got them at for just under $100, when they retail for almost $400. (sorry for the crazy huge pics; WB photo editer isn’t working at the moment)

Also, my wedding day lingerie was a bit pricey, but it made my boobs (what little there are) look fantastic and the panty was great, too. Over $100 for the set, but the wedding night made it worth it!

my biggest wedding splurge was definitly my teeth– yep thats right my teeth

About 2 weeks before the wedding my fiance (now hubby) and I decided to get veneers — we both had teeth issues for a while and decieded to fix them so we wouldnt get upset everytime we looked at our wedding photos– in the end it was soooo worth it but it cost 5k each

My cake topper was 200.00 (This isn’t it, but this is her work on Etsy – mine is being designed)

I almost bought 450.00++ Jimmy Choo flats but they were SOOOOOOOOOOOO uncomfortable.

I ended up finding shoes I loved for 35.00 🙂

I’m thinking about splurging on fireworks ($850 for 5 minutes)… I’m just not sure if it’s in the budget just yet. If I don’t do that, I’m thinking about sparklers. I need to make a grand exit that my guests have never seen before.
