Ours are our wedding rings.  Mine’s about £700 ($1100) and his is about £800 ($1300) but we’re getting them custom made by a local jeweller, and it’s the one thing we’ll wear every day, so totally worth it!  If everything goes to plan, we should be able to pick them up in a week’s time!!

I can’t believe how expensive everything is related to a wedding.  I had no idea!  My biggest splurge so far is our videotagrapher.  He does a very creative 5 minute video that tells the entire story of the wedding/reception.  He is in Denver, CO if anyone is interested.

@happyface:  Try craigslist! I found one on there that I loved, and booked them. We’re 750.00 for 5 hours and there are 2 of them! And I looove their work!

The biggest splurge so far has been the venue. 4k for 7 hours? I signed the contract and wrote the check quickly. It’s my dream venue though, so I don’t feel bad! Other than that, I’ve been pretty ggood. Although I’ve had my eyes on these beautiful Badgley Mischka shoes…

I bought a really pretty Pronvia hair piece while I was at Harrods in London. It is my favorite store in the whole wide world… and I wanted to have SOMETHING from there for my wedding. It cost about $100. A bit more than I wanted to pay… but thats ok. I really love it. By The Way, I had this, before I had my dress… lol.

My jewelry… the necklace was originally $300 and the bracelet was around $180, I think (earrings not shown for $50). I bought the set (but wore my grandmother’s earrings for the wedding) for half off on a Black Friday sale.

I’m sort of a frugal wedding budget nazi so I can’t imagine I’d have an extravagance…I mean I’m already thinking about just wearing a black cocktail dress I already own for my ceremony.

Our getaway car is absurdly expensive, but it’s because my Future Father-In-Law is a car collector so we’re not paying to use it. Our honeymoon is also amazng but his mom owns a travel agency and with my parents miles we can fly for free using the deals Future Mother-In-Law has access to and we have a free place to stay in Ireland because of his family’s priest (his entire family and properties are still in Ireland)

AND THEN I LOOKED AT CATERING. I am a southern girl (vegetarian or not darnit) and I am going to be unstoppable with the feeding and watering of my guests…eh…
