- Wedding: August 2010
I had the most AH-mazing shower over Memorial Day Weekend.
It was at Public in Greenwich Village, NYC. It was a brunch shower in the private “wine room”. I had wanted our wedding at a vineyard but that fell through, wanted our Rehearsal Dinner at a wine room that fell through so I’m so happy at least the shower was in a wine room!
It was hosted by my bridal party but a lot of the decorating efforts were done by my Maid/Matron of Honor and Future Mother-In-Law. They did such a fantastic job, everyone walking in to the restaurant for brunch kept peeking in!
Maid/Matron of Honor had asked me what color I wanted my shower to be and I replied the light citrus green because the wedding would be more candy apple red heavy.
A shot of all beautiful table setup (see how my seat is with red tissue pom poms??):
Close up. Maid/Matron of Honor made tissue pom poms for every seat and little butterfly seating cards:
And they all had a little red lady bug cookies in them! Little takeout boxes filled with Gerbera Daisy (my wedding flowers) sugar cookies bought from Etsy:
Future Mother-In-Law made all these wonderful chocolate Daisy suckers! She brought them all the way from GA!
And of course, some food shots!:
Fry-up – two eggs (poached, scrambled or fried) on sourdough toast with slow roast tomatoes and buttered mushrooms
Banana stuffed French toast with bacon and maple syrup:
Tea-smoked salmon, spinach and poached eggs on toasted sourdough with yuzu hollandaise:
There were also various brunch cocktails! My poison of choice was Passionfruit and Orange Mimosa.
I highly recommend Public for anyone in NYC looking for a shower venue!! They were so great!
And yes, I know I didn’t share any pictures of ppl. Sorry!
