After trying on the Martina Liana 332 I thought it was great except for the $2200 price tag! So I set out to find a cost effective version. I am not interested in an exact copy so I feel comfortable going with a replica manufacturer as long as the dress looks fantastic on me.
I contacted Dressily Me, Jasmine Bridal, Shades of Pale and Fabulous U with my request for a replica gown. (I also looked at a lot of other websites but these were my top picks based on reviews and the actual gowns I was able to see).
Dressily Me flat out told me they couldn’t make it.
Jasmine Bridal was backed up with Prom dresses (at the time I contacted them) and took a while to respond to my email. They then told me that I would not be able to order a custom gown at that time. I did appreciate their honesty so kudos on that aspect. But no help to me
Shades of Pale offered a good price but I was not confident that they had enough information about what I wanted to be able to make that determination. I didn’t feel as though they requested enough information from me.
Tony at Fabulous U has been fantastic about responding to my emails (same day!) and answering random questions that I may have. He is also forthcoming about the accuracy and quality I can expect. I really felt as though he took the time to get to understand all of the details I wanted in my gown. SO I took the plunge and ordered my custom gown from Fabulous U and I will keep the beehive posted on the developments!
